Flatpak est format de construction et distribution d'applications de bureau. Un paquet Flarpak

est directement exécutable dans un grand nombre de distributions Linux, toutes celles pour lesquelles l'environnement flatpak est disponible
comprend les dépendances nécessaires à son exécution

1 - Environnement flatpak

Installer l'environnement flatpak et afficher la version

$ sudo aptitude install flatpak
$ flatpak --version
Flatpak 1.2.5

Fermer et réouvrir la session utilisateur afin que les répertoires d'installation des applications soient pris en compte par le bureau

2 - Installation manuelle d'une application

Dans l'exemple ci-dessous, on sélectionne l'application Gradio sur le site du dépôt flathub : https://flathub.org/home
Télécharger le fichier d'amorce, à partir de la page dédiée à Gradio

$ wget https://flathub.org/apps/details/de.haeckerfelix.gradio

Depuis le répertoire de téléchargement, lancer l'installation de l'application

$ flatpak install de.haeckerfelix.gradio.flatpakref

Ceci télécharge et installe l'application de.haeckerfelix.gradio

$ ls
de.haeckerfelix.gradio  de.haeckerfelix.gradio.flatpakref

Lancer l'application

$ flatapk run de.haeckerfelix.gradio

3 - Utilisation des dépôts

3.1 - Ajout, contenu, liste et suppression des dépôts

L'installation d'une application flatpak s'effectue généralement à partir de dépôts

Ajout du dépôt Flathub comprenant un grand nombre d'applications Flatpak

$ sudo flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

Dans la commande ci-dessus

flathub (nom arbitraire) sera utilisé le nom du dépôt
https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo est l'adresse du dépôt flathub

Liste des dépôts ajoutés

$ flatpak remotes

Installation du dépôt flathub-beta

$ $ sudo flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub-beta https://flathub.org/beta-repo/flathub-beta.flatpakrepo
$ flatpak remote-ls flathub-beta

ch.openboard.OpenBoard                                  ch.openboard.OpenBoard

Le dépôt flathub-beta apparaît dans la liste des dépôts installés

$ flatpak remotes

flathub      system
flathub-beta system

Contenu d'un dépôt (Liste des applications)

$ flatpak remote-ls flathub-beta

Suppression d'un dépôt

$ sudo flatpak remote-delete flathub-beta

Il est également possible d'ajouter simultanément un dépôt et une application, par exemple Shortwave (le successeur de gradio, voir Shortwave-beta à partir du dépôt beta de flathub

$ sudo flatpak install https://flathub.org/beta-repo/appstream/de.haeckerfelix.Shortwave.flatpakref

3.2 - Installation, liste, suppression et mise à jour d'une application

Installation en ligne de d'une application présente dans un dépôt flatpak, à partir de son nom exact

$ flatpak install de.haeckerfelix.gradio

Installation d'une application présente dans un dépôt flatpak , à partir de son nom approximatif

$ sudo flatpak install gradio

Désinstallation d'une application

$ sudo flatpak uninstall gradio

Mise à jour des applications installées depuis des dépôts flatpak

$ sudo flatpak update

3.3 - Lancement d'une application

Lancement d'une application (installée), utiliser

soit la ligne de commande depuis le répertoire de téléchargement

$ flatpak run de.haeckerfelix.gradio

soit le gestionnaire de menu du bureau, entrée de menu Gradio qui a été automatiquement créé

3.4 - Recherche et informations

Recherche d'une application dans un dépôt flatpak, utiliser

soit le site du dépôt
soit la ligne de commande

$ flatpak search gradio
